It was “Hop to It, Superhero” at the April GOGs meeting… themed as such in in honor of National Superhero Day and Easter being earlier in the month. Gals had the option to wear a cape or other superhero garb.

In our marketplace, we had: Kaytee Sumida with Simplexities Artful Crafts and Bead Work; Nancy DePaola Brooks with Mary Kay; Stefanie Blue with her fine art photography unveiling her new collaborative effort Affirmation Deck and due to a last minute cancelation, our gal Elizabeth brought a table full of FREE PANTS for gals to take!

Our sponsor was the amazing organization, Las Valientes / God’s Heart Ministries which provides women with help to leave domestic violence situations.  We heard about their upcoming Las Quinceañeras event – a celebration for 15 women who escaped domestic violence situations and due to financial hardship were unable to have their Quince at age 15. The event is May 20, 2023 and you can get tickets here… https://www.eventbrite.com/e/las-quinceaneras-tickets-577845089217

The presentation was interview-style with Shonna Daily and “The Daily Experience”. Lucky ladies drawn at random, got to come “on the show” and be interviewed and play a “Daily Game” at the end! Congrats to Elaine Bryan, New Gal, Liese Anderson and Dana Green who were interviewed!

Speaking of New Gals, we welcomed EIGHT (8) amazing women to GOGs who were attending their very first meeting!

We also presented one of our sister women’s networking organizations, North County Women in Networking (NCWIN), a non-profit organization providing scholarships to CSUSM women in need, with a donation check from the sales of tickets at the meetings. Their largest funraiser is coming up May 17th! You can get tickets here… https://www.northcountywomen.com/event-5226253

Though we ran overtime, it was Such a great meeting! Lots of connections and interactions and laughs, smiles and fun! Can’t wait to see what next month’s “You Deserve the Royal Treatment” May Meeting has in store…. it’s INTER-ACTIVITY MONTH!
