How did Good Ol' Gals get started?

In a nutshell, in fall of 2007, four gals met one day to discuss the state of networking and their options when it comes to networking to market their businesses and making new connections. After checking off their list of what they liked and didn’t like, they decided that they needed to start something… and GOGs was conceived. Read the full story here.

Why is it called "Good Ol' Gals"?

It’s our answer to the “Good Ol’ Boys” Club. That unwritten group that’s existed for centuries where the guys understand the principle of building the relationship and the business will come. We decided to adopt that philosophy and do it even better… more female-focused. And BTW, “Ol'” doesn’t mean OLD. We have gals of all ages attend – from 18 to 88+!

What makes GOGs different?

Oh, so many things! To start… No dues. No restrictions. No limits. Then, we have themed meetings. Our only rule is “play nice in the sandbox”. There aren’t penalties for not attending. And so much more! If you haven’t yet, you should attend and experience the GOGs difference for yourself!

How much are dues?

There are no annual dues – or any dues for that matter. You only pay for what you find beneficial for you and/or your business.

If there are no dues, how do I become a "member"?

We understand this is a novel concept. Most organizations have BOTH annual dues AND then costs associated with attending meetings. We don’t really say “member”, we say “I’m a GOG!” and to be a GOG, you just register and attend your first meeting. That’s IT!

We do have opportunities to create a deeper sense of “belonging”: Official GOGs Nametags and Directory Listings are among these.

Do I have to pay to attend if I'm not having the included lunch?

Yes. You are paying for the GOGs Experience and for the opportunity to market your business. Whether you choose to enjoy the included meal or not, every gal pays to attend.
